Indoor tanning lotions — also known as accelerators — add nutrients your body needs to produce melanin. Our quality accelerators contain vitamins A, C, and E plus botanicals that moisturize and increase blood flow, boosting oxygenation of melanin cells to speed up the tanning process. UV rays reflect off dry skin, so the moisturizers help you absorb UV rays for better results. You'll tan about twice as fast and keep your tan twice as long.

Absolutely! UV tanning is a process that takes up to 24 hours to fully develop, and you can't wash it away. Just avoid shaving or exfoliating immediately after your session. If you had a spray tan, wait 6–8 hours before showering.

What causes white spots that won't tan?

White spots are often caused by Tinea Versicolor, a skin condition from a microscopic fungus that leaves bleached-looking areas on the skin. Because it acts like a high-SPF sunscreen, affected areas won't tan. Mild cases can be treated with Selsun Blue dandruff shampoo (leave on for 10 minutes) and Tea Tree oil twice daily. For more resistant cases, see your doctor. Protect affected areas from UV exposure until melanin production resumes.
